Why you should become a member of Wake Audubon

  • Wake Audubon is one of the most respected conservation organizations in the Triangle. We work hard to protect and preserve open spaces, important habitats, and threatened species of birds and other creatures.
  • Our projects help protect coastal breeding bird colonies, enhance local greenways and parks, expand habitat and nest boxes for local bird species, and much more.
  • Wake Audubon is a great place to meet people. Our members come from diverse backgrounds with interests and expertise in a variety of fields.
  • Wake Audubon members are also members of National Audubon Society and receive Audubon magazine.
  • We have fun! We hike, paddle, work, and socialize. Each month we lead field trips and bird walks open to all our members. No experience or expertise is necessary to participate.

We need you to help us continue our work and maintain our organization’s integrity, diversity and success. If you are not yet a member of Audubon, download the membership form and instructions to print and fill out or go to the National Audubon Society membership page . Your membership in the National Audubon Society automatically adds you to  our membership roster.  $20 is the basic  membership rate.  If you want to receive Wake Audubon’s monthly enewsletter, please be sure to sign up for that on our website.
