Join us for the next Christmas Bird Count!
The Christmas Bird Count is a long-term project in which Wake Audubon participates. This important count is conducted across the country and provides data on trends in bird populations over time.
Want to join us for the next count? Whether you are an expert birder or just learning bird identification. This is a great place to learn bird ID skills from experienced birders and to put your new skills to work! It’s also a ton of fun and a great way to explore new areas around the Triangle.
The Christmas Bird Count occurs December 14 to January 5 every season. Sign up to receive information and results about all of Audubon’s community science programs through American Birds, our newsletter by email.
Look on our calendar for the specific dates and contact information and join a team for a morning of birding that will contribute to our knowledge of birds. Learn more about the Christmas Bird Count.
